All the World’s a Stage

K-12 School Video Contest

Sponsored by the University of Iowa School of Library and Information Science as a part of the University of Iowa Libraries’ presentation of “First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare” on tour from the Folger Shakespeare Library.

Why is learning about and studying Shakespeare important today? Why are his works still relevant in today’s world? How can we making learning about the life and times of Shakespeare interesting, fun, and rewarding?

The University of Iowa Libraries is honored to host an exhibit titled First Folio! The Book That Gave us Shakespeare as a way to bring Shakespeare to Iowa students. It offers a rare opportunity to see the First Folio and provides a backdrop to engage students across the state in learning about the man, his work, and why he is still relevant today. The School of Library and Information Science wants to support this opportunity to engage students from across the state in student-driven, active, and creative endeavors to learn about the Bard and “get their Shakespeare on.”

In addition to showcasing the knowledge, creativity, and talents of Iowa students, the winning entry will receive $2,000 for their school library!

All submissions are due by November 23, 2016.
